The DUFF by Kody Keplinger Review!!

The DuffSeventeen-year-old Bianca Piper is cynical and loyal, and she doesn’t think she’s the prettiest of her friends by a long shot. She’s also way too smart to fall for the charms of man-slut and slimy school hottie Wesley Rush. In fact, Bianca hates him. And when he nicknames her “Duffy,” she throws her Coke in his face.
But things aren’t so great at home right now. Desperate for a distraction, Bianca ends up kissing Wesley. And likes it. Eager for escape, she throws herself into a closeted enemies-with-benefits relationship with Wesley.
Until it all goes horribly awry. It turns out that Wesley isn’t such a bad listener, and his life is pretty screwed up, too. Suddenly Bianca realizes with absolute horror that she’s falling for the guy she thought she hated more than anyone.

Sweet baby Jesus!! I so did not expect this book to be so good! I had heard of this before but I really didn't read it until I saw the movie trailer and said "I can't watch this movie until I read the book"!
This book spoke to me so much! I absolutely loved Bianca with all my heart and soul! I felt that her character while very cynical was likeable. I really related to her character and with how done she was with high school in general. I think that we have all been Bianca at some point in life.
Wesley Rush was such a jerk that I was so prepared to hate him but damn my soft heart because I ended up loving him so much. Wesley's relationship with Bianca was so unconventional when they started out but I totally saw their relationship development coming from a mile away.
This whole book gave me such a realistic 80's high school movie vibe so I loved it! The book didn't gloss over the nasty parts of being a teenager which so many other books do. This book is a great recommendation for teens to read. I hope the upcoming movie does it justice.

ARC REVIEW: SHATTERED by Mari Mancusi

ShatteredTrinity, Connor, and Caleb are trying to stay under the radar, holed up in an abandoned West Texas farmhouse. Their only problem is Emmy: a baby dragon that's growing like crazy. When Emmy is caught on tape and the video goes viral, they find themselves on the run again. Their only hope comes from an old map leading to a man who has come from the future to help them. But with the government hot on their heels and Caleb's growing addiction to spending time in the Nether world, will they be able to reach him in time? And will keeping Emmy safe end up being too high a price for Trinity to pay?

MARI MANCUSI HAS SHATTERED *hehe* MY HEART!!
She has taken my babies and put them through hell again!
Also the new characters are fantastic but I AM STILL WARY OF THEM ALL.
You know I thought that I would like Connor a little bit more in this book but nope.
 not one bit.
I am worried deeply for my baby Caleb because he is not ok and probably needs therapy! THE FLASHBACKS, GUYS!
Trinity was in between a rock and a hard place this entire book, I feel really bad for her.
I just want all my babies happy.. IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK
*cry*
It's a thrilling sequel to Scorched and I am so excited for everyone to read it!

ARC REVIEW: Get Even by Gretchen McNeil

Get EvenBree Deringer, Olivia Hayes, Kitty Wei, and Margot Mejia have nothing in common. At least that's what they'd like the students and administrators of their elite private school to think. The girls have different goals, different friends, and different lives, but they share one very big secret: They're all members of Don't Get Mad, a secret society that anonymously takes revenge on the school's bullies, mean girls, and tyrannical teachers.
But when their latest target ends up dead with a blood-soaked "DGM" card in his hands, the girls realize that they're not as anonymous as they thought—and that someone now wants revenge on them.
As the unlikely group searches for the killer, they also uncover secrets and lies that rock their tenuous friendship to the core. Soon the clues are piling up, the police are closing in . . . and everyone has something to lose.

THE HILLS ARE ALIVE WITH THE SOUND OF REEEEVENNGE.
Guys, this book was so beautiful *tear*. I am all for an all girl revenge group and this was just what was needed. I mean, sure, they have issues but RELUCTANT FRIENDSHIP.
Gretchen McNeil never disappoints ever and I am so  happy with this book. The plot develops wonderfully and Gretchen did wonderful with showing all these girls. The girls had so much character development throughout the whole book!!
I can't wait for Get Dirty!

Beauty Queens by Libba Bray

Beauty QueensSurvival. Of the fittest.
The fifty contestants in the Miss Teen Dream Pageant thought this was going to be a fun trip to the beach, where they could parade in their state-appropriate costumes and compete in front of the cameras. But sadly, their airplane had another idea, crashing on a desert island and leaving the survivors stranded with little food, little water, and practically no eyeliner.
What's a beauty queen to do? Continue to practice for the talent portion of the program - or wrestle snakes to the ground? Get a perfect tan - or learn to run wild? And what should happen when the sexy pirates show up?

I have no words for the perfection that this book was. I'm kidding I have a lot of words..
Ok, let's be honest when I started reading it I thought it was going to kill my brain cells. To be honest, some of my brain cells died with the character's priorities on the island.
But then, something beautiful happened.. FEMINISM, DIVERSITY AND SATIRE OVER WHAT MEDIA BROADCASTS TO GIRLS OVER BEAUTY.
This book is something that 10 year old me needed and I am so mad with myself for not reading it earlier.
Beauty Queens is a beautifully written novel with such a fantastic message for girls and anyone else if you can read between the lines.
I love this books and you all need to go worship Libba Bray!

Catching Jordan by Miranda Kenneally

Catching JordanWhat girl doesn't want to be surrounded by gorgeous jocks day in and day out? Jordan Woods isn't just surrounded by hot guys, though–she leads them as the captain and quarterback of her high school football team. They all see her as one of the guys and that's just fine. As long as she gets her athletic scholarship to a powerhouse university.
But everything she's ever worked for is threatened when Ty Green moves to her school. Not only is he an amazing QB, but he's also amazingly hot. And for the first time, Jordan's feeling vulnerable. Can she keep her head in the game while her heart's on the line?

I have a lot of feels over this book. I heard of this author before so I picked up this book at the library. SOMEONE GO HIGH-FIVE PAST ALEX. This book took my heart and did a touchdown with it. I could not have loved this book more that I already do.
If I didn't have a thing against sports of any kind, I would want to be Jordan. Alas, I will stick to just reading about her. She was this tough football player with a low tolerance of girly things. I loved the relationship she had with her team and I will totally be stealing her comebacks. Reading about Jordan finally being a teenage girl and experiencing stuff made me cry.
(I'm serious, I think like three neighborhoods heard my wails of despair.....)
Ty, I really have mixed feelings about you. I pity you but you are also the type of overbearing, controlling and jerkish boy that I spend my days avoiding. Contrary to popular belief, I do have a heart so I did feel really bad for Ty when he told Jordan about his family. Just not the boy for me.
(Thank God, says my mother. She is standing behind me while I wail over this book)
Henry, you are a god amongst high school football players and I really want one of you.  I think that realizing that he had feelings for Jordan blew my mind but made complete sense. I am all for the best friends are soul mates campaign. I just wanted to hug him, slap him and maybe clone him.
JJ and Carter are some of the best side characters EVER. They can be man-w all they want as long as they keep being stand-up protective friends. I just reallllllyyy loved them, guys.
(I want a football team now)
All in all, this book deserves a freaking Oscar and everyone should read it because I'm still crying
