"This is it. The moment
Heaven and Hell clash. But which unearthly being will win, the fallen angel or
Hell's hounds?
Overtaken by fear, I close my
eyes."
Kayson is a Fallen Angel who has
spent decades running from the Hell Hounds while searching for something that
no one else believes can be so, not even God. Kayson is determined to find a
Blood Child. But when a hound finds Kayson first, he is sure his end has come.
Falon, Alpha of the Hell Hounds,
destroyer of the blood children, and devoted believer in his master’s plan, is
bound and determined to drag Kayson back to Hell with him.
Sabrina is a Vampire, a half-breed
created from one of Lucifer’s original blood children. After years of hiding,
Sabrina’s fate changes when she finds Kayson barely alive. Against her
instincts, Sabrina saves him. Now she and Kayson are both marked by the Hell
Hounds.
Emma is an ordinary human, whose
only problem is making ends meet, and getting over the hurt caused by her
untrustworthy brother. Her everyday problems become supernatural ones when she
finds Kayson and Sabrina hiding in her parent’s backyard shed.
Kayson, Sabrina and Emma are
unlikely allies, thrown together by chance to fight against the most powerful
creatures of the underworld in order to follow their world-changing quest. But
will the broken faith of one break the faith of all?
Below I have an interview with one of the main characters, Sabrina (which I fangirled about)
Q: What was
running through your mind when you decided to live in the wild?
I was
scared. I knew I had an advantage over
the hell hounds because their call did not affect me, but man do they have some
sniffers. I didn’t know how long I would
survive but I was determined to do just that, survive.
Q: Why did
you decide to help Kayson?
That was a
hard decision for me to make. I didn’t
know his intent. He could have easily
turned on me. But seeing him lying
there, on the brink of death, caused me to pause. It brought back painful memories of my
past. I had been left, thinking I was
going to die, and watched as all hope turned away. For some reason, I couldn’t do that to
him.
Q: Why did
you take so well to Briston?
It was
strange, but when I met Briston, I felt no threat from him. I could tell he was only trying to protect Emma. He was curious, like most would be, but in an
admiring way.
Q: How and
Why did you develop feelings for Kayson
At first I
just felt a need to protect him. He was
the first person I had really talked to in over a century and against my better
judgment I didn’t want to lose that. I
had went so long being alone, and having him understand made it hard to let
go. The longer I was around him and saw
the fight and fierce protection in his eyes, my feelings started to grow for
him. I knew it was dangerous and
foolish, but he is a man to admire.
Q: How do
you feel about the Fallen Angels?
I do have
mixed feelings about the fallen, especially with Steele. Unlike Kayson, the others only judge us
half’s. They deem us damned and want no
part in helping us. On some level I
understand why they feel that way, it was the way they were taught. But after meeting Kayson, I wonder why the
rest can’t see the possibilities that he sees.
Q: Why did
you hate Emma so much at first?
I felt she
was a threat. Her denying what was so
plainly in front of her only infuriated me.
I guess you could say I was harsh on her. When I was human, I know that I probably
would have had the same doubt. But what
really irritated me was the way Kayson had reacted to her. He seemed so eager to tell her our stories
yet when I asked him any such questions, he wouldn’t answer me the way he did
her. My harshness toward her was led by
jealousy and envy.
Review: Guys, this book was so awesome! I really loved it! It's plot was well done and each of the characters had a backstory and well-done depth to it. I loved how it switched POVs and how it didn't get confusing or slow! The hunds were brilliant antagonists and YAY FALLEN ANGELS. Also I ship KABRINA AND BREMMA!!

Brandy Nacole resides in
Arkansas where her imagination runs wild. Her obsession is reading but her
passion is writing. She put her dream of becoming a writer on the back burner
and went to college to become a psychologist. Three years after endless classes
in a field she only felt half satisfied with, Brandy picked up her pen once
again and wrote the outline to Uniquely Unwelcome. She finished out her degree
in psychology, but traded her dream of writing for the degree and put psychology
on the back burner.
Whenever she’s not reading or
writing, Brandy is spending time with her family and friends, throwing around
crazy ideas, teaching , and singing like a rock star at a concert for no one
else but herself. She loves plants, but unfortunately is a killer of anything
that requires water but can’t voice (scream) their needs.
