Avalon by Mindee Arnett Review!

Jeth Seagrave and his crew have made their name stealing metatech: the devices that allow people to travel great distances faster than the speed of light. In a world where the agencies that patrol the outer edges of space are as corrupt as the crime bosses who control them, it’s as much of a living as anyone can ask for. For years Jeth’s managed to fly under the radar of the government that executed his parents for treason—but when he finds himself in possession of information that both government and the crime bosses are willing to kill for, he’s going to find there’s no escaping his past anymore.
With pulse-pounding action, a captivating mystery, and even a bit of romance, Avalon is the perfect read for hard-core sci-fi fans and non–sci-fi fans alike.

JETHRO SEAGRAVE IS A MAIN CHARACTER AFTER MY HEART. I will be honest, I received this ARC very early and I didn't read it. I INHALED THE WORDS ON THE PAGES.
Avalon was fast-paced but didn't rush the plot to the point where you had no idea what was happening.  I loved the plot and everything was explained really well! Jeth had backstory but I wish that we had gotten more backstory on the rest of his crew.
As Mindee knows, I ended up shipping Jethro with the wrong person instead of the correct person. I blame Mindee for everything.
Mindee did get me really badly on a particular trigger with something that happens to Jeth in the book.
All in all, this book was everything that I expected from Mindee! Exciting, daring and adventurous!

Siege and Storm Review!

  Darkness never dies.
Hunted across the True Sea, haunted by the lives she took on the Fold, Alina must try to make a life with Mal in an unfamiliar land, all while keeping her identity as the Sun Summoner a secret. But she can’t outrun her past or her destiny for long.
The Darkling has emerged from the Shadow Fold with a terrifying new power and a dangerous plan that will test the very boundaries of the natural world. With the help of a notorious privateer, Alina returns to the country she abandoned, determined to fight the forces gathering against Ravka. But as her power grows, Alina slips deeper into the Darkling’s game of forbidden magic, and farther away from Mal. Somehow, she will have to choose between her country, her power, and the love she always thought would guide her—or risk losing everything to the oncoming storm

I have to confess that I got this ARC in 2013 and never reviewed it. I am totally going to get smacked for this.
Alina and Mal were so wonderful in this book! I loved how they both grew as characters and how we saw them growing closer and then apart. It killed me inside!!! *sobs really loudly*. The character development that we saw for them was amazing! I loved it

I will admit that it was rather slow in the beginning so it took me time to get into it but for sequels, this was a rather good one and it didn't make me hate the series

THE DARKLING IS SO BAD-ASS AND SO EVIL, I WANT TO CRY. He just made it so much harder to love him and I love him alot but guys, he is very warped and twisted.

Sturmhond (sp?) is forever my favvvvvv. S's whole plot line was fantastic from start to finish but I hope that it hasn't finished just yet!

This has basically been a rambling review!

The House of Hades by Rick Riordan Review!!

The House of Hades (Heroes of Olympus Series #4)At the conclusion of The Mark of Athena, Annabeth and Percy tumble into a pit leading straight to the Underworld. The other five demigods have to put aside their grief and follow Percy's instructions to find the mortal side of the Doors of Death. If they can fight their way through the Gaea's forces, and Percy and Annabeth can survive the House of Hades, then the Seven will be able to seal the Doors from both sides and prevent the giants from raising Gaea. But, Leo wonders, if the Doors are sealed, how will Percy and Annabeth be able to escape?
They have no choice. If the demigods don't succeed, Gaea's armies will never die. They have no time. In about a month, the Romans will march on Camp Half-Blood. The stakes are higher than ever in this adventure that dives into the depths of Tartarus.

*stares at ya'll* *stares at book* This book hurt me on so many levels. And yet it lifted my hopes. The characters were FANTASTIC! Each character had character development even if they only had one chapter.
Percy and Annabeth were in Tartarus for most of this book and seeing our badass babies trying to survive was one of the most heartbreaking parts in the entire book. I feel that we really saw how tired they were of the fighting.
The Argo demigods are distressed because they don't know what to do but Nico kind of gets them to focus.
NICOOOO AND HIS CRUSHHH ON PERRRRCCYYY. I am not bothered by this, I think it makes a bit of sense if you look back on stuff. I feel bad for him because he can't accept himself. Kudos to Rick for this!
All in all, I loved it!!!
